The Look for Less…at Home!
Mar, 31, 2009
Posted byWe hope we can help you enjoy your nest … for less during these economically challenging times! We have started the ‘Look for Less..at Home’ series, where we re-create a room with affordable finds, inspired by a high-end designers collection. We estimated the original room costs were at least $15,000, based upon the suppliers and sources used. Here is our first design…

The starting look
…and how we created it for Less for only $2700!!! Here is how we did it!

for "Less"
Lighting – Red Swizzle Table Lamp, Bellacor $142
Rug, West Elm, Zebra Print 8 x 10, $459
Coffee Table, Ballard Design, Lorraine, $469
Sofa, Younger Furniture, $1355+
End Table, Ballard Design, Morgan, $209
Of course, art, faux paint and window treatments need to be added to finish out the look. And believe it or not DC/MD residents – the sofa can be found through one of our favorite furniture stores, Poros K Designs in Rockville.
Do you have a “Look ” that you want but concerned about the budget? Send it our way via email – and we will select one to feature for FREE in our next newsletter. Just send it by April 17 to redo@rarooms.com!

Great read. Thanks for the info!
I really liked your blog! good
oh my, come take a look at what we have in Chicago and see if you can do that room for less than 15k. if you can get the sofas for under 1k, that’s going to help a lot. are you in chicago yourself?
Great work! I also have my own blog I just find it hard to write quality content like this.
I guess I really don’t have the time.
