Which one do I need - Tips for Two or Design?

If you are unsure of which rooms to start and the order of things, challenged with a small space or just challenged, Tips for Two consultation is a great start. We can review mulitple rooms and discuss ideas for each space. If you have an empty room or dislike the majority of the furniture in the space, then Design service is recommended so that we can develop and present a floor-to-ceiling plan for your review before any purchases are made.

Do you offer complementary initial consultations?

Typically, our initial consultations for Design Services require a nominal fee to support the time spent in the home. And of course, the consultation provided by Tips for Two is also a paid service.

How do you charge for Tips for Two? Design service?

The Tips for Two service is a paid service, featuring two hours of decorating tips in the home, for a reasonable fee. Typically we can review an average sized home - up to 3000 sq ft. Please contact us for the rate quote, as it is our policty to inform our client of the rates before we visit.

Design services are also billed by room size for development of initial design plan. Implementation is billed hourly or monthly, depending upon the needs of the client.

Do you provide organizing solutions – I am drowning in paper!

While we may assist you in decluttering a space to better organize the furniture, we will happily refer you to one of our outstanding professional organizers for a declutter consultation. The benefit of working with an organizer is that he/she can help you learn how to keep clutter at bay over the long term. We promise they will help you get your head and body above water!

How far will you travel within the DC Metro area?

Our area encompasses all of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia inside the DC Beltway. Outside of the Beltway, we will travel as far north as Germantown and Columbia, eastwards to the PG County border, westwards to Reston and south to Lorton with no additional travel fees. Travel outside of these areas will require a nominal travel fee.

Will you help shop for decorating accessories or other items listed in my design plan?

Why yes, of course! We will help you shop OR shop for you at an hourly rate. Call us to learn more!
