Thanks so much for visiting our site! ra reDoes rooms, Inc is an innovative and creative company, aspiring to be a partner for homeowners as make their home comfortable, stylish and reflective of their taste, needs and style.
So how did I (ra) end up in design? I grew up with fabric, sewing
and crafts all around me, stemming primarily from my grandmother. Grandma Eula was
a quilter and sewer, among other skills mastered on the farm and handed down these
skills to her 10 children. My Aunt Gloria took to sewing and tailoring clothes and
managed a dress shop in Brooklyn in the mid-1970's, while my mother kept the needle
in the home and taught me about fabrics upholstery, window treatments, and the like.
While I didn't inherit the sewing gene from these three ladies, the creativity and
love of fabric was definitely inherited.
I started the company in 2004, after earning an MBA and working in corporate America in Phoenix, San Jose, Boston and DC. I learned about design and furniture placement from Lauri Ward, pioneer of interior redecorating and author of 'Use What You Have' Decorating. Highlights from the training was the opportunity to personally accompany Lauri on interior redesign consultations with real clients in NYC.
After training, I started interior redesign, interior decorating and staging in the DC area. I worked with a local realty company and assisted with staging single family homes while working with realtors, homeowners and contractors, just as the Staging industry was gaining wide spread awareness and popularity. We really enjoy our Staging projects and look forward to becoming Your Home Stager!
The combination of my corporate background, business education, fabric, color and design intuition has made my company a natural partner for busy professionals who want their house to truly reflect themselves. Our newly launched edecorating service will help broaden our reach to assist homeowners break out of their Beige Haze!

What is included in a completed edecorating design plan?
An edecorating design plan will include recommended changes to the room, computer generated layout (where possible), suggested shopping/buying list and estimated materials budget. The plan is delivered on via a secured website so the eclient may use as a reference during their own implementation phase. Designs will remain active for 45 days after first delivery.
How will you capture my style and taste before creating the edesign?
Each service plan includes an on-line survey for the eClient to complete. This survey captures basic style preferences, family size, budget constraints and current room challenges. Additionally, our designers are required to conduct a telephone consultation with the eClient before design work officially begins.
I am in the middle of a home remodel - can you help?
Absolutely! This is a great time to help you with color selection, furniture layout and the like. We would be happy to review your layout and discuss various options with you - even including previous furniture if you so desire.
I just have a few things I want to change - lighting, area rug, color choices - can you help?
Absolutely! If you have a small project and looking to enhance or finish out previous design work, give us a call. We can help you shop, both locally in the DC area and electronically everywhere else, to finish out your room. We have very reasonable rates and can help you get that nagging room completed!
I have a vacant property to sell, and need furniture and home accessories. Can you help?
Absolutely! We rent furniture from a local furniture store, which means that furniture doesn't look like typical rental big bulky furniture. After viewing your property, we develop a contract, with terms for month to month usage, rather than forcing commitment to 3 or six month use. And of course, we manage the installation and set up, leaving you to focus on selling!
